Dr. Amol Rajhans
Dr. Amol heads the Bharat Vikas Parishad’s Pathology Laboratory in
our premises, which is a sister concern of Jankalyan Raktapedhi
Trust. Day to day testing of patients’ samples for diagnostic
tests as well as camps for mass screening both activities are
conducted by the laboratory under his guidance. His experience in
the field of pathology is of more than 20 years. He has been
associated with various multispecialty hospitals’ pathology
laboratories in the city. Dr. Rajhans contributes to social
service by leading anaemia detection camps, blood group checking
camps, health checkup camps and the like. He also contributes in
Jankalyan Raktapedhi Trust’s voluntary blood donation and our
other social activities. His proactive role in creating
audio-visuals for donor motivation and education is commendable.
Dr. Amol Rajhans himself is a regular committed blood donor.
Dr. Tanvi Yardi
Dr. Tanvi is a medical graduate followed by post-graduation in
Pathology. She has work experience at leading institutions of
India. Her tenure at National Institute of Mental Health and
NeuroSciences (NIMHANS) Bangalore gained her proficiency in
Therapeutic Plasma Exchange, and that at Transfusion Medicine
department of Manipal Hospitals- Bangalore has given her an
expertise in Quality Management Systems. She has also worked in
Transfusion Medicine Department of P.D. Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai.
She is a NABH Assessor for blood banks. Trained in advanced
immunohematology (blood grouping and cross matching techniques),
she leads our technical section and is also our Quality Manager,
looking after Quality Assurance including quality control,
validation, standardization of processes and maintenance of
standard operating procedures. Dr. Tanvi has undergone
Hemovigilance training at National Institute of Biologicals (NIB)
and is our nodal officer for implementation of Hemovigilance
Program of India. She is our accreditation co-ordinator for NABH
and in charge of External Quality Assurance (EQA) programs that we
regularly implement. She herself is a regular blood donor too.
Dr. Madhuri Barve
Dr. Madhuri Barve is our Medical Officer and is involved in blood
donation camps and donor educational activities. A medical
graduate, she is also trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support
(ACLS) by American Heart Association (AHA). She has undergone
training for blood bank medical officers by National Aids Control
Organization and National Blood Transfusion Council (NACO and
NBTC). Conducting session for camp organizers and donors to
resolve myths and facts is her forte. She is skilled in donor
counseling and medical evaluation of donors too. She also delivers
lectures and conducts interactive sessions for nurses and doctors
on safe blood transfusion practices in various leading hospitals
of the city. Her scientific talks on thalassemia awareness amongst
youth are also a notable feature.
Dr. Ramesh Kamble
A medical graduate, Dr. Ramesh Kamble is a senior medical officer
and has been contributing to our work since more than 20 years. He
has been playing a key role in blood donation camps as well as
donor motivation sessions. He has been a faculty trainer in blood
bank training programs conducted by Maharashtra State Aids Control
Society (MSACS). He also contributes in guiding and inspecting
blood storage centres.
Ms Abhiruchi Jagdale
Ms. Abhiruchi holds a Masters degree in Science with Diploma in
Medical Lab technology. Trained in equipment maintenance, she
works as our Technical Officer and Technical Store-In-Charge. She
is well trained in the use and trouble-shooting of automated
equipment and has also undergone NABH internal auditor training.
Her guidance in calibration of equipment, preventive maintenance,
handling breakdowns and repairs, close monitoring of temperature
of refrigerators and deep freezers is noteworthy. She herself is a
regular blood donor and platelet donor
Ms Amruta Mete
Ms. Amruta holds Bachelor’s degree with diploma in medical lab
technology and has a vast experience in various technical
sections. She is well-trained in equipment like automated blood
grouping, cell separator for platelet donations, blood component
separation, and automated platforms for ELISA and NAT for
screening transfusion transmissible diseases. She also has
expertise in specialized procedures like leucodepletion, quality
control testing and irradiation of blood components. She has
undergone NABH training for internal auditor of blood banks.
Dr. Ashutosh Kale
A medical graduate and a master in business administration, Dr.
Kale looks after administration of Jankalyan Raktapedhi Trust. He
is also trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by
American Heart Association (AHA). Dr. Kale heads our voluntary
blood donation section and is actively involved in donor
motivational sessions. He has undergone training for blood bank
counselor by NACO NABTC (National Aids Control Organization and
National Blood Transfusion Council) and AATM (Asian Association of
Transfusion Medicine). He himself is a regular blood and platelet
donor and has strong commitment towards voluntary blood donation
movement.
Mr. Santosh Angolkar
Santosh is an engineer and has also pursued a Diploma in Social
Work (DSW). He manages the portfolio of Public Relations Officer.
Handling the 300+ blood donation camps, connecting with camp
organizers is the crucial responsibility which he brilliantly
handles. He plays a key role in connecting the Blood Centre to
donors and vice versa. He has undergone training for blood bank
counselor by NACO NABTC(National Aids Control Organization and
National Blood Transfusion Council ) and AATM (Asian Association
of Transfusion Medicine). He himself is a committed blood and
platelet donor and is just one phone call away for any of our
donors who need help. Extremely passionate about voluntary blood
donation, Santosh’s donor motivational talk to connect grass root
youngsters with the cause is an epic in itself. His personal touch
to the noble work that we do, takes blood donation to an
exceptional level altogether. He is strongly affiliated to
voluntary blood donation movement and is a great inspiration to
the students, IT sector employees and volunteers of various social
organizations.
Mr. Rajesh Tolbande
Holding the degree of Masters in Business administration, Rajesh
is our social marketing consultant and is an artist himself. He
also handles responsibility of accepting small and large financial
donations to the blood bank from individuals, families, groups,

link, contact number). A centurion platelet donor himself, Rajesh
has been an inspiration for many platelet donors. He has a strong
commitment towards voluntary blood donation and has a great
connect with the youth of the nation.
Shri. Ashokrao Khandekar
Ashok Ji has been selflessly delivering his knowledge and services
to accounts department of Jankalyan, ever since his retirement as
Branch Manager at State Bank of India. He has contributed in the
application and implementation of CSR projects too. A senior
volunteer (We have respectfully designated such devoted persons as
‘Sevavrati’), he is fondly addressed as Khandekar Kaka.
Shri Ravi ji Kulkarni
An engineer by qualification, retired from managerial
responsibilities at TATA Motors, Shri Ravi ji joined the voluntary
blood donation movement with us as a Sevavrati (A senior
volunteer). He has been associated with us since more than 10
years. He has played a key role in donor motivation and has been
inherent part of all blood donation camps, especially in
industrial sector. Donors and our team address him as Kulkarni
Kaka.
Ms Shubhada Deshpande
After retiring with a vast service experience 30 years in
technical department at Jankalyan Blood Centre, MS Shubhada
Deshpande is a senior volunteer or sevavrati with us. Her primary
areas of work is thalassemia awareness. She plays active role in
arranging thalassemia awareness sessions for youth via colleges,
marriage bureaus and social organizations. She also works closely
with Indian Red Cross Society and Thalassemia Society in order to
contribute to making our society thalassemia free/preventing birth
of thalassemia children.
